On Saturday, January 31st, the Walnut House will transform into a stage bursting with talent as local theater companies unite for the Curtains UP! Theater Revue, a one-night-only celebration of live performance. Presented in partnership with Rutherford Arts Alliance and hosted by Kara Kemp, the revue promises to be an unforgettable evening of scenes, songs, and show-stopping talent.
The Curtains UP! Theater Revue brings together some of Rutherford County’s most beloved theater organizations for a collaborative evening that highlights the vibrancy and creativity of the local performing arts scene. Confirmed participating theaters include Bravo Boro, Carpe Artista, Center for the Arts, Consider This Theatre Company, Middle Tennessee Children’s Theatre, Murfreesboro Little Theatre, and Springhouse Theatre Company,
Each participating group will perform a scene, monologue, or musical number of their choice. The show begins at 6pm, with an informational reception with light snacks and drinks to purchase at 5pm.
“Rutherford County has an embarrassment of riches in our theatre community,” said Jeff Lysyczyn, Executive Director of RAA. “Curtains UP! provides theatre-goers with an opportunity to sample many of the organizations that put on quality productions all year long.”
Tickets can be reserved by filling out this form. There is no charge to attend, but a suggested donation of $10 per person is recommended at the event.
Community members are encouraged to save the date, tag their theater-loving friends, and plan their evening now.
This is one night you do not want to miss!
