Rutherford Arts Alliance Offers Needs-Based Arts Scholarship Opportunity for K-12 Students

The Rutherford Arts Alliance maintains a scholarship fund supported by Christy-Houston Foundation, Inc., along with private donations, to provide musical instruments and rentals, art supplies, and fees for economically disadvantaged students in grades K-12 in Rutherford County, Tennessee.
The purpose of the scholarship is to aid in the removal of some of the financial barriers that prevent students from participating in school arts programs, including but not limited to band, chorus, theater, visual, literary, culinary, graphic, and other media.
Important INFORMATION:
Scholarship applications for the 2026-2027 school year will be accepted from August 1st – September 1st. Scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted. Application and instructions are below!

Scholarship awards are capped at $600, and students are eligible to apply once per school year. When awarded, funds will be paid/payable directly to the vendors providing the goods or services. Funds will not be made payable to teachers, students, or guardians.

Application Process/Instructions
Applications must be submitted by teachers and are started by using this Google form. Once the process is started, we use DocuSign to secure further information provided by the teacher and signatures from the teacher, principal, student, and guardian.
